Since 1935, CBI-electric: african cables has been at the heart of Africa’s power network — designing and manufacturing top-tier electrical cables from our advanced Vereeniging facility.
With over 800 employees, we supply leading utilities, municipalities, and industries — from Eskom to renewable energy pioneers — delivering solutions that meet every voltage and every challenge. Our product range spans low- to high-voltage systems, including PVC, XLPE, paper-insulated, ABC, and ACSR cables — all designed for performance, reliability, and safety. Through our Power Installations Division, we offer complete cable installation, maintenance, and refurbishment — proudly holding both ISO 9001 and 9EP CIDB accreditation. As a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor, we’re committed to empowering South Africa’s energy future through quality, innovation, and customer-driven excellence.
